Since the war in Ukraine began, we have been in direct contact with every Ukrainian we know on the ground in the country and finding out who needs financial help, who is able to help others, house people, feed people, supply water, fuel etc. As Of 5/26/2022 we’ve received over $55,000 and have distributed over $54,000.00 to families, individuals and organizations in Ukraine, directly impacting hundreds if not thousands of people. We are receiving reports, photos and videos from our direct contacts in Ukraine where the donations are being used. They are providing food, medicine, shelter, evacuation, bedding, blankets to the innocent civilians, as well as the Ukrainian Military. Follow along on instagram for the most up to date info.

This war is personal.

-We have family, friends and many ministry connections in Ukraine. The war on Ukraine is a war on us- we are doing everything in our power here to help the Ukrainian people, and finances is the best way we have found we can help right now.

-My wife is Ukrainian- she grew up there and lived in Kyiv for the past five years. For the first year of our marriage I lived between Kyiv and Greenville, SC. Our family, our friends, and the ministry we both volunteered with are spread out all over Ukraine, as well as neighboring countries.

-I know you can give to bigger organizations who are well run and doing great things (and I encourage you to.) We are trying to find the people that are left out- who don’t have anyone to turn to. We’re looking for the most vulnerable and through our network of friends and family- we are finding them.

This movement is a grassroots movement led by Jack and Karolina Connolly in Greenville, SC. When we woke up to the news that Russia invaded Ukraine, we were in shock, scared for our family and friends, but knew we had to do something. We wanted to help in any way possible, and the quickest and most effective way with the network we have here was to raise money and send it directly to our contacts who are doing the hard work in Ukraine.

We’ve been blown away by the support shown from local Greenvillians, as well as people from across the world. Since we started publicly fundraising on Sunday February 27, 2022- you have donated over $55,000 and we’ve already been able to send over $54,000 to the relief efforts of our contacts in Ukraine.

As time goes on and the need continues to get even more desperate in Ukraine, we will continue to support Ukraine through finances. Darver Kelly Accountants here in Greenville, SC are monitoring our finances and will give guidance on the proper time to file to become a non-profit.

Currently, any donations are non-tax deductible due to our status.

Our priority is getting the money to the people on the ground in Ukraine as quickly as possible. Since the war started, we’ve been able to send over $54,000.

Our current method is FREE TO UKRAINE through Western Union! Other methods are Wise and Paysend.

If you want to send money to a person in Ukraine yourself, make sure you get the name on their UAH (Ukrainian Currency) Card, their UAH Card Number and- if you’re using wise.com then you will need the address associated with this card, and their email.

For the first week, Paysend has been free to send money to Ukraine. Wise.com charges a few dollars up to around $20 depending on how much you are sending and the method. We’ve found using ACH Bank transfer or Debit card from USD to UAH Card to be the cheapest, quickest option.

We are making every effort to connect with people and put them in touch with the resources that we know on the ground in Ukraine. Our personal resources are limited in this case, however we know and trust Steiger International https://www.instagram.com/steigerinternational/ who is currently evacuating, housing, feeding people in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
